A Typical Wedding Photography Contract
The structure that I use is given below. Please note that this contract can be adapted to ensure that everything that is important for you is included and certain conditions can be adjusted to meet your needs.
Contract of Agreement
It is agreed that Niel de Clerk, himself, will be responsible for taking photos on the wedding day of (Bride and Groom) on (date) at (Venue).
The agreed package is as follows: (Number of photos, sizes, colour / Black and white) Furthermore the agreed total price is: R(XXX)
The payment will be done by means of cash or certified check. A deposit, twenty percent of the total price, is to be paid with the signing of this contract. The remaining eighty percent of the total price should be paid on delivery of the final product.
It should be understood that, in the highly unlikely event in which the product cannot be produced (due to theft, damage to the film or any other circumstance beyond the photographer's control), the photographer couldn't be held responsible in any way. The photographer will however return the deposit if such a problem arises.
It is important to note that the photographer has copyright on all pictures that are taken by him. Therefore, all reprints should be ordered from him and any other copies are illegal. All negatives will also remain the property of the photographer.
Please note that all further services, enlargements, reprints and so forth, is available at the price indicated on the price list.
