There is no day in any man or woman's day like their
wedding day. It is a day full of emotion - from grandma's tears to the brides
excitement to the parents worries to the grooms anticipation of the honeymoon.
It is a day well worth recording and a recording well worth some good
thought. Choosing a photographer to take your wedding pictures is
definitely no easy decision. You don't want to ask you uncle with his
new camera that he brought from Japan, you don't want to ask your brother with
his compact from the street cafe and you can't afford Ansel Adams, but you
need a good photographer. There are many wedding photographers around -
make sure you choose the right one. It is essential that you choose
somebody with decent professional equipment, and sufficient backup equipment.
The photographer must use professional film and processing. Insist
on seeing not only his portfolio but a full wedding's photos. Ask for
decent size photo's, postcards and jumbos don't serve much more purpose that
thank you cards. Make sure the photographer have some sort of system
that ensures that all the pictures you want end up in your album. Sign a
contract, it will protect both you and the photographer.
